ReconVillage CTF 2020 - DEF CON 28 SAFE MODE

This year DEF CON was cancelled due to Covid-19, so we have no possibility to meet again in Vegas this year. But we are happy to be able to participate from our home (Many thanks to organizers for this).

Previous year our team Homeless took 8th place at ReconVillage CTF. And this year we are again on 8th place :)

Hunting the Lion (300)

Solution:

Click image details on site. It has the information about place, where the photo was taken.

No Parking Place available (300)

Solution:

After deep analyzing of road signs, we tried to find the proper street. 

We used site with list of streets in Kleve.

Spot the Photographer (200)

Solution:

Firstly we made another image from provided negative.

After google search by image, we discovered the place on map. 

After that we analyzed all street views and found the same perspective as on image.

Your time in Parole ends (400)

Solution:

Firstly we discovered the person and place name - Cache Country Jail.

Searching by Cache Country Jail we discovered some photos made by Adam.

And finally we found the photo with clock. And this clock gave as the flag.

Solution:

We used OpenCorporates site to find company in Connecticut with governor with surname Ulrich.
